Charlie's Little Free Library!
We’re so happy to announce that Charlie's Little Free Library is officially installed! Thanks to so many friends & family, the library is stocked with beautiful brand new books for all ages. Charlie’s Little Free Library can be found at the rear of the parking lot for Mt. Sinai Congregational Church.
After Charlie’s funeral, Brian and I continue to visit Charlie almost on a daily basis. Sometimes it’s planned, sometimes it’s on a whim. No matter what, we love to read to Charlie. Books typically chosen from her bookshelf from her empty nursery, the books given to her at her baby shower with beautiful handwritten notes from those who couldn't wait to meet her. Other nights, we end up coming without a book & look to the clouds for pictures Charlie’s painted, telling us what story she’d like to hear. We search the internet from our phones to find one that's just right. In September, we got the idea to request to install a “Little Free Library” at Charlie’s cemetery - for all. Take a book, leave a book. Take a book and read it to your angel who flies here with Charlie. Take a book and bring it home, keep it & remember our sweet girl with every page you turn. Leave a book, for those who need them, for those who want them and for those who could use them. Take a book and read it to our sweet girl on nights we’re not here, I know she’d love it. Charlie’s Little Free Library is extended to the entire community. Share her story & share that her library is here.
